      Loving this book.

      It’s a very funny take on the ubiquitous redshirts, those characters that act as cannon fodder, existing only to die and show that things are really bad for the heroes of the piece. The story is told from the point of view of an ensign, newly assigned to a spaceship with a startlingly high mortality rate amongst the lower ranks. It’s kind of a cross between Star Trek, Galaxy Quest, and “Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead”.
